Hello and Welcome!

Hello to the whopping total of four people I assume will ever lay eyes on this blog! The name's Christian and just to put it plainly, I'm a humongous film fan - always have been and always will be. :) " The title I've christened this blog with - "Celluloid Self-Care" - refers to the main function which film has taken in my life recently; at least at the time of me creating this blog. For the vast majority of my lifetime, my love and obsession with film has been at best just a hobby of mine, albeit my biggest hobby by far. Then for a short while after graduating college, it became my primary job as I started writing reviews for an online webpage. Then it went back to being a hobby for many year, and now it's my primary form of "self care", seeing as how the line of work I find myself in recently has become rather stressful as of late. If, after a long day's work, I wasn't able to come home and be utterly moved by the final moments of Casablanca, nor awed by the 'Jupiter & Beyond the Infinite' sequence of 2001: A Space Odyssey, well then, life would just lose a big chunk of its luster and shine for me. " I hope to post here on a typically week to week basis. Most of my posts will simply be film reviews, but every so often I may sneak something more general or personal into the mix. Keep checking in and we'll see where it goes from here!
